IPL set to be played from Apr 9 To May 30, 2021, in INDIA
IPL 2021 will be played from April 9 to May 30 across six venues with no team getting to play at home.
The tournament will be held behind closed doors at least in the initial phase.
The venues are Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Kolkata. Ahmedabad will host the final on May 30 as well as the play-offs.

VIVO IPL 2021 Postponed due to the rise in COVID-19 cases among players and support staff of different franchises.
The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting have unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season, with immediate effect.
The BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff, and the other participants involved in organizing the IPL. This decision was taken keeping the safety, health, and wellbeing of all the stakeholders in mind.
These are difficult times, especially in India and while we have tried to bring in some positivity and cheer, however, it is imperative that the tournament is now suspended and everyone goes back to their families and loved ones in these trying times.
The BCCI will do everything in its power to arrange for the secure and safe passage of all the participants in IPL 2021.
VIVO IPL 2021 Resumed, IPL 2021 new schedule, Venue in UAE
The remainder of the 2021 IPL season will begin in Dubai on September 19 with Mumbai Indians taking on Chennai Super Kings.
The action will then shift to Abu Dhabi where the Kolkata Knight Riders will square off against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Sharjah will host its first game on September 24 when Royal Challengers Bangalore faces Chennai Super Kings.
In all, 13 matches will be held in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah, and eight in Abu Dhabi.
When IPL-14 was suspended because of the Covid-19 pandemic, there were 31 matches, including the four playoffs, still left to be played. This is the second successive year the UAE will be hosting the IPL. In 2020, the entire tournament was played across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
